2016 Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS calendar takes shape

The 2016 Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS calendar is taking shape. The series will still run seven international venues to be held on the most prestigious circuits Europe-wide.

For the upcoming year the Fast Lane Promotion series has further strenghtened the partnership with GT Sport Organizacion,  with up to four rounds to be held in the racing weekends managed by the Spanish organizer. Comparing to the previous version of the upcoming calendar there is a novelty. As for 2015, also in 2016 the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS will feature its last round in Jerez de la Frontera, this year decisive in awarding the title to Aitken.


The season will kick off in Imola one week earlier that previously announce, on the 2/3 April weekend. The street circuit of Pau will follow in May (21-22) while Spa will still ber un in June (11-12). The following four rounds will be held in conjunction with GT Sport Organizacion. While the circuit where the series will run on the 10/11 September is still to be announced, it will still be though a F1 track, the remaining four rounds will be held in Monza (1-2 October), Barcelona (29-30 October) and thus Jerez (5-6 November).
