A new team joins the list of those involved in Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS. In Jerez, for the last round of the series scheduled on the upcoming 4/5 October weekend, the English Strakka Racing will make its debut.

Already among the most important teams in Formula Renault 3.5, the Towcester locatead squad will line up one car for the 20 y/o driver from Birmingham Jake Hughes that will race as a wild card and will thus not be collecting points.

The figure of teams involved in the Series promoted by Fast Lane Promotion rises up to 16. Four are coming from Great Britain: Fortec Motorspors, Mark Burdett Motorsport, MGR Motorsport and obviously Strakka Racing.

«It's a great opportunity to get Jake back out in the car and continue our learning of both running and racing the car. Getting fastest lap at our debut was a brilliant start to our FR2.0 campaign and the team is looking forward to showing what we can do against a competitive ALPS field». - were the words of Strakka Racing team principal Dan Walmsley.

With Nyck de Vries (Koiranen GP) already crowned as the 2014 Champion, all spotlights are on the duel for second overall between Charles Leclerc (Fortec Motorsports) from Monaco, and the Russian Matevos Isaakyan (JD Motorsport). Just less than a week to discover who will be the 2014 Vice Champion.
