Not one but two cars, this year, for TS Corse. After having already announced the Pietro Peccenini participation, for the second year in a row, in Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS, the team led by Stefano Turchetto also announced Matteo Gonfiantini, who will than drive the second car of the Italian team.

The young Italian from Pistoia, born in ’97, made his debut two weeks ago in the Vallelunga testing session, showing some good skills.

This will still be however his first ever season in single seater, a season which will grant him valuable experience, and possibly some good chances to achieve important goals in the international contest granted by the Fast Lane Promotion Series.

«After karting, ALPS represents my “First Time”. - said Gonfiantini - Team TS Corse is for sure the best choice I could have made. I’ve found a very professional team that will be able to grant me a competitive car. In the Vallelunga testing session, I soon realized I could achieve a good feeling with the car. I just did not risk. Lap by lap I’ve improved but also made minor mistakes. I think this is normal. The level of the Series is very demanding, I will have to be focused to be competitive».

«In Vallelunga, Matteo soon proved his potential. Since the very beginning he carefully listened to what we said. I’m very happy he signed for us. Along with Peccenini i twill be a good duo: an experienced driver and a rookie. We just could not ask for better. ». - were Turchetto’s words.

The next testing session is now scheduled for the 11/12 March in Imola. The same Italian track that will host the first venue of 2014 on the first weekend of April.
