Prema re-joins F.Renault: 2 cars in the ALPS Series rounds of Mugello and Barcelona for Bonifacio and Ghiotto

After four years Prema team will be officially back in Formula Renault 2.0, joining the two remaining rounds of the ALPS Championship, looking forward for a full 2013 season in the Fast Lane Promotion Series.

The prestigious team from Northern Italy will thus join the Mugello round scheduled for the 6/7 October weekend and the last venue of the Series to be raced in Montmelò (Barcelona) two weeks after. For the occasion the Angelo Rosin led team will line up two cars: the first for the 17 y/o Italian driver Luca Ghiotto and the other for the Brazilian Bruno Bonifacio (born in 1994).

Up to 2008, Prema was among the top teams in the 2 liters Formula Renault Series, joining its philosophy stronlgly aiming at youngsters and linking its name to young talents and future champions such as Ryan Briscoe and Kamui Kobayashi, Italian overall champions in 2001 and 2005.

«We are simply excited for our Formula Renault comeback. - were the words of Rosin . As usual, when a new program starts the emotion is the key element. We still have wonderful feelings for this category, we were among the first who joined its philosophy. The different agenda brought us to other choices and for the same reasons we are now back in the Renault world. After having lost part of its appeal in the past years, for sure now Renault represents once more the main European stage for youngsters. Before the Mugello venue we will carry out some tests to be sure to be fit as a team and for the drivers, for the races».
