The number of the teams grows up to 12
New comer in Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS for the third round scheduled in Imola in less than two weeks. Debuting in the category will be the Gabriel Casagrande, 17 y/o last February, at his very first season in single seater after a promising career in karting where he achieved six titles, 25 victories, 62 podiums on just almost 100 races.
The Brazilian will race for the British Mark Burdett Motorsport Team, with which he signed at the beginning of 2012 planning an exstensive testing programme under the supervision of the engineer Andy Miller (with a background in F1 as well) and of the driver-coach Robbie Kerr, former “star” of F.3 UK and A1GP.
With Casagrande are now five the drivers from Brazil racing in the Fast Lane Promotion Series, joining Felipe Fraga, Victor Franzoni, Gustavo Lima, Guilherme Silva.
After Monza and Pau, on the Imola track there will once more be a top international event with now twelve different teams involved. An high quality challenge, confirmed by three different winners in the first four races.
