Brazilian Felipe Fraga to enter Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS with Tech1 Racing Team

Felipe Fraga just turned sixteen. He is the new Tech1 Racing Team driver. The young Brazilian is the third name announced for the 2012 season by the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps Champion in charge team. Along with him the French Paul-Loup Chatin and the Russian Roman Mavlanov.

Felipe Fraga will join all the rounds of the Renault Sport Technologies 2 liters Formula Series. This will be his debut in motorsport after an excellent karting palmares that opened him the doors of the Red Bull young program.

Among his victories also the 2010 and the 2011 titles in the “Seletiva Petrobras Karting”. Also in 2011 he managed fourth overall in the Las Vegas SKUSA SuperNationals, racing with the Zanardi/America colors, and KZ2 class events of CIK FIA and WSK Euro Series Championships.

Born in Jacundà on the 3rd July 1995 , for sure our driver has a challenging name, the same of Felipe Massa, year 2000 winner of the first edition of the Formula Renault Italy 2.0. This will be another selective challenge also for Tech1 Racing always keen for new talents.

First Fraga approach with the formula will arrive with the 6/7 March testing session on the French track of Paul Ricard Another testing session is also scheduled in Barcelona on the 19/20 March, just few days before the opening round of Monza.
