Luis Michael joins teammates Iaquinta and Abogado
Team Torino Motorsport has announced the name of the third driver of its Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS season lineup. After having finalized with Simone Iaquinta and Alex Abogado, the Northern Italy team has reached an agreement for the whole season with Luis Michael Dörrbecker.
Born in 1993 (he turned 19 this January), Dörrbecker will be the second driver from Mexico in the Championship, joining his teammate Abogado him too from Mexico. A perfect three cars lineup with chances for a fourth car.
«This is our third year in Motorsport and we are proud to have extended our activity outside the Italian borders. -commented Marco Braghero, Team Torino Motorsport owner - First Abogado than Dörrbecker, with the latter that in 2011 already raced with us in the Challenge Formula Renault 2.0 Italia Varano event. On that occasion Michael impressed everyone for his determination. 2012 Season will be for sure extremely important for him. On our side, in the meantime, we are working in lining up a fourth car».
Dörrbecker has already showed his skills in the last two “Challenge” Seasons and last year he also managed a third overall in Zeltweg. For him also two sixth placements still in Red Bull Ring and Mugello.
