Frenchman Paul-Loup Chatin and the Russian Roman Mavlanov are the first two announced drivers by Tech1 Racing. This is the team which seized 2011 Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS Championship, and which is ready to join 2012 season with four cars. For both drivers, which already performed impressively last year, this will be their second season in the 2 liters Renault Sport Technologies singleseater.

Paul-Loup Chatin (see photo), 20 y/o last October, in 2011 still with Tech1 Racing managed to contend the title to his teammate Javier Tarancon, finishing third overall. Three victories in his palmares (one in Budapest and two on his home track in Paul Ricard), plus six more podiums and three poles. An impressive score that, for the young Frenchman, are without any doubt a considerable “business card”.

Positive impressions also for Roman Mavlanov, born in 1994, when in his very first season in motorsport, after some karting experience, showed some interesting driving skills. His best result is a fifth overall in Paul Ricard, while in seven different occasion he managed to finish in the top ten.

International attendance in the Fast Lane Promotion Series is thus increasing. At less than two months from the first green flag to be waived in Monza on the 24-25 March weekend, for the first of the seven 2012 double rounds, Series prestige is rapidly growing.
